Chicken Mushroom Pizza Recipe
If you’re looking for a delicious, creamy chicken mushroom pizza, this is the one! This easy pizza recipe has a rich white garlic sauce as the base, topped with juicy chicken and mushrooms.
I absolutely love mushrooms, and I’ve shared so many pizza recipes where mushroom is the star topping.
Mushrooms hold a special place in my heart. I still remember when I was younger and barely ate any vegetables. Eating mushrooms made me feel like I finally belonged—like I could enjoy vegetables just like the rest of my family—and actually feel satisfied.
Mushrooms changed things for me, and now, sharing mushroom pizza recipes makes me so happy.
I finally got to share the happiness I felt eating them. So, let me share this super easy mushroom pizza recipe with you!
Ingredients
100-125 grams of pizza dough: I’m making this pizza just for dinner, so I use a small amount of dough to make a 6-7-inch pizza. If you’re feeding more people or have a bigger appetite, I recommend using 250 grams of dough. That amount will give you an 8-9-inch pizza with a nice medium crust.
Pizza Sauce: I use white garlic pizza sauce for this recipe. Unfortunately, I didn’t use enough sauce while making this pizza, so you can’t see the creamy sauce oozing in the pictures. But trust me, adding 2 tablespoons of white pizza sauce, even for a small pizza, makes a big difference. You can use regular pizza sauce if needed, but it won’t have the same creamy flavor.
Chicken: You can use roasted chicken, rotisserie chicken, or any type of cooked chicken chunks you like.
Mushrooms: I used about 4-5 chopped button mushrooms for this small pizza. Since it’s a compact size, there wasn’t a lot of room to pile on mushrooms, but they still add great flavor.
Mozzarella Cheese: I used 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese for this recipe. Dry shredded mozzarella works perfectly, but you can also use a good cheese blend if you prefer.
How to make Chicken Mushroom Pizza
1. Roll out the dough, then spread some white garlic pizza sauce and layer it with mozzarella cheese.
2. ADD mushrooms and chicken chunks on top of the pizza and add some mozzarella cheese.
3. Preheat a convection oven at 200°C and cook the pizza at 190°C for about 15 minutes. Your pizza is ready, enjoy!
Tips on making the Perfect Pizza
- Preheat the oven: Always preheat the oven properly to avoid an undercooked bottom and an overcooked top on your pizza.
- Grease the pan: Grease the pan on which you cook pizza with a small amount of oil to make the pizza base crispier and prevent sticking. Use no more than 1 tablespoon of oil to avoid a greasy base. Alternatively, spraying 2 pumps of oil works just as well.
- Slice mushrooms thickly: Cut the mushrooms into thick slices to prevent them from shrinking too much during baking. This way, each slice retains the classic juicy texture of mushrooms.
- Chicken and toppings: Use any type of chicken you prefer for this recipe. Feel free to experiment with additional toppings of your choice. Let me know which topping combinations you try and which ones turn out to be your favorite!
Mushroom Chicken Pizza
Ingredients
- 100 grams Pizza Dough
- 2 tbsp White Garlic Sauce
- 25 grams Chicken chunks
- 4-5 Sliced Button Mushrooms
- 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
- Begin by rolling out the pizza dough into a circle about 6-7 inches wide, ensuring it’s even all around. Place it on a greased or parchment-lined baking tray.
- Now, spread 2 tbsp of creamy white garlic pizza sauce(alfredo sauce will do as well) over the surface.
- Scatter a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, letting it form a soft, melty base.
- Place the sliced mushrooms and chicken chunks evenly over the pizza, making sure each bite will have a bit of everything. To top it off, sprinkle a little extra mozzarella cheese to hold the toppings together as they bake.
- Don’t forget to preheat your convection oven to 200°C—this step is important to get a perfectly cooked pizza. Once preheated, lower the temperature slightly to 190°C and Bake for around 15 minutes, or until the cheese has small brown spots and crust is golden.
- Take the pizza out of the oven, slice it and enjoy.
