Common Supreme Toppings
A supreme pizza combines different pizza toppings in one pizza. It is a sure crowd-pleasing treat that you can make and here are the toppings you can use:
- Pepperoni
- Sausages
- Meatballs
- Mushrooms

This is what makes a supreme pizza so delicious since it has a mix of these meats and vegetables that give it the perfect flavour in every bite.
To Cook Or Not To Cook Your Supreme Pizza Toppings?
You should always pre-cook meat toppings on your supreme pizza. This is to make sure that they cook along with the vegetable toppings and the crust of your pizza.
Since pizza cooks at a very high temperature, you might be tempted to just allow the supreme pizza toppings to cook directly on the pizza crust.
This can be good with vegetable toppings as they can also cook pretty quickly. However, you should not take your chances with meat toppings.
As much as possible, cook or pre-cook the meat toppings such as the meatballs and sausages to make sure that they cook evenly when the pizza is being cooked in the oven.
How To Make A Homemade Supreme Pizza
If you have cooked pizza before, there is nothing much different than when cooking supreme pizza. All you need are your ingredients and toppings.
- Pizza dough
- Pizza sauce
- Cheese
- Sausages
- Pepperoni
- Meatballs
- Green peppers
- Mushrooms
- Black olives
Roll out the pizza dough and then top it with some pizza sauce and cheese of your liking.
From there, you can then proceed to pre-cook the meat toppings to make sure that they cook evenly with the other ingredients of your supreme pizza.
Adjust the temperature of your oven and make sure that it is set to the highest temperature possible.
What Toppings Go On Supreme Pizza?
I have listed above the most common supreme pizza toppings and while all of those ingredients are usually included in the supreme pizza, different pizza chains put a little twist on their versions.
1. Pizza Hut Supreme Pizza Toppings
Pizza Hut has the Super Supreme Trinidad And Tobago pizza that is usually sold with a combination of vegetable and meat toppings creating a savory flavor.
Here are the toppings on Pizza Hut’s Supreme Pizza

Domino’s Supreme pizza is the ExtravaganZZa pizza, a supreme pizza available in the U.S. and a few other countries. It is Domino’s version of the supreme pizza.
The ExtravaganZZa pizza from Domino’s has a combination of these toppings:
- Pepperoni
- Ham
- Italian Sausage
- Fresh mushrooms
- Beef
- Fresh onions
- Green peppers
- Black olives
There is also another Domino’s take on the supreme pizza called the Domino’s Deluxe pizza which has toppings such as :
- Pepperoni
- Italian sausage
- Fresh green peppers
- Mushrooms
- Onions
- Mozzarella cheese
Since most of the supreme pizza toppings from Domino’s are mostly meat, they make sure to slice them thinly so they do not weigh down on the crust of the pizza.
The delicious supreme pizza toppings are coated with melted or flattened cheese, giving them a delicious flavor that helps combine the taste just like the pizza sauce.
3. Papa John’s Supreme Pizza
Papa John’s imports toppings from authentic stores and premium brands to make sure that the supreme pizza has the best toppings with the best flavors.
- Italian ham
- Premium pepperoni
- Salami
- Crimini mushrooms
- Ripe black olives
- Mozzarella cheese
- Roasted garlic
Papa John’s tops it off by making the supreme pizza with hand-tossed crust. So while the toppings are the highlight of the pizza, we cannot ignore how crispy and airy the crust is.
4. Little Caesar’s Supreme Pizza
A perfect combination of simplicity and flavor, the supreme pizza from Little Caesar’s balances the flavors of the toppings so no specific topping overpowered the other.
- Pepperoni
- Italian Sausage
- Mushrooms
- Onion
- Green peppers
While Little Caesar’s supreme pizza is simpler than the other pizza chains, it has the essential ingredients and toppings that make up a supreme pizza.
The flavors from this supreme pizza are perfectly balanced and it has a slightly thicker crust that holds the toppings together as well as adds the crispy texture to bring all the flavors together.
5. Jet’s Supreme Pizza
The Eugene Supreme pizza from Jet’s Pizza comes from the founder of the company and it is one of the best supreme pizzas that I have ever tasted.
- Premium mozzarella cheese
- Italian Sausage
- Onions
- Green peppers
- Mild peppers
This supreme pizza has a little kick to it and it is one of the more expensive supreme pizzas out there. However, it is worth all the money because of how delicious this pizza is.
6. Casey’s Supreme Pizza
Casey’s supreme pizza has all the supreme pizza toppings that I love. It has a beautiful aroma and from the smell alone, you know that the flavors will be bursting in your mouth.
- Pepperoni
- Mild sausage
- Beef
- Green peppers
- Onions
- Mushrooms
- Black olives
Instead of using the common pizza sauce that other pizza chains use, Casey’s uses classic marinara on their supreme pizza which offers this unique flavor.
Even when I am familiar with the flavors of pizza sauce, the classic marinara on this pizza weirdly combines the flavors of the supreme pizza toppings in a good way.
7. Digiorno Supreme Frozen Pizza
If you like cooking at home instead of ordering pizza, DiGiorno has covered you with their amazing supreme frozen pizza with different delicious toppings.
- Pepperoni

The supreme pizza from Totino’s is another frozen supreme pizza you can make at home if you do not have time to prepare the toppings you need.
- Chicken
- Sausage

This is perfect for meat lovers since the supreme pizza has a lot of different types of meat. It is not fatty and heavy in your stomach so you can eat more than 2 slices and not feel too full.
The supreme pizza is large enough for four people and my friends were really impressed with the toppings as well as the golden brown crust that the pizza has.
9. Red Baron’s Supreme Pizza
This is another frozen supreme pizza that you can cook at home. It is made with the iconic Red Baron’s classic crust which is one if not the best frozen pizza crust that I have ever tasted.
- Sausage
- Hearty pepperoni
- Green peppers
- Red peppers
- Onions
I love the supreme pizza toppings on this one, but the perfect crust makes it special. Since you are dealing with many toppings, the crust neutralizes the flavors perfectly.
The crust is not too thin, and it is also not that thick, which means that it can handle the heavy toppings while also developing a crispy crust to add texture to the whole pie.
How To Cook Pizza In Oven?
Once your pizza is ready, all you need to do is use a pizza peel to lift the pizza off of the table and transfer it to the oven.
You should always preheat the oven before placing the pizza in the oven to ensure that the crust of your pizza does not become soggy while it is cooking.
The immediate contact with heat will make the crust rise and create those delicious and crispy textures on the outside and the air pockets inside to make the crust airy.
Should I Use A Pizza Stone?
Yes, a pizza stone is essential to make sure that the crust becomes crispy. The pizza stone should also be preheated in the oven before you place the pizza in it.
As the pizza stone heats up, it balances the heat inside the oven so the pizza will cook evenly. The toppings and the crust will cook at the same time when you cook them with a pizza stone.
The pizza stone will also gather heat that helps make the crust crispy. Once the dough gets into contact with the hot pizza stone, it will immediately rise and cook the crust evenly.
If you do not have a pizza stone, you can use pizza steel to do the same job. Parchment paper also helps to make sure that the crust cooks evenly.
Temperature And Time to cook pizza
No matter what type of oven you use, you should always set it to the highest temperature available. Most home convection ovens would only reach 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
At that temperature, the pizza should finish cooking in 8 to 12 minutes. Pizza ovens, on the other hand, are much hotter and will cook the pizza quicker.
Most pizza ovens can get up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. This means that the pizza will finish cooking within 60 to 90 seconds.
Here is a simple graph that shows the temperature of your oven and how long that temperature will take to cook your pizza.
Oven Temperature | Cooking Time |
400 degrees Fahrenheit | 20 minutes |
425 degrees Fahrenheit | 15 to 20 minutes |
450 degrees Fahrenheit | 12 to 15 minutes |
500 degrees Fahrenheit | 8 to 12 minutes |
900 degrees Fahrenheit | Approximately 90 seconds |
900 degrees Fahrenheit and above | 60 to 90 seconds |
What Cheese Goes On Pizza?
Mozzarella is the most common type of cheese used on pizzas. It has a mild flavor that blends well with meat toppings and brings the flavors of vegetable toppings together.
Since mozzarella cheese does not have a strong salty flavor, you can never go wrong with it. It does not melt well so do not expect to have that super sticky or stringy cheese on your pizza.
Mozzarella cheese is often combined with parmesan cheese on pizzas. This creates a slightly stronger flavor profile that also goes well with pepperonis and sausages.
If you want your pizza to have a sharper salty flavor, you can use cheddar cheese, gouda, goat cheese, or provolone cheese on your pizza.
