No- Bake Easy Strawberry Mousse Recipe

This strawberry mousse is a simple and delicious no-bake dessert that comes together with just a few basic ingredients.

It is made using the homemade strawberry jam that we prepared earlier on the blog, along with fresh cream from the store and a few slices of fresh strawberries.

That’s all you need to create this light, creamy, and fruity dessert.

Since there is no baking involved, this recipe is perfect when you want something quick and easy but still homemade.

The strawberry jam adds a rich fruit flavor, while the fresh cream gives the mousse its soft and airy texture. Fresh strawberry slices make it even more refreshing and add a natural sweetness.

This no-bake strawberry mousse is perfect for summer, special occasions, or whenever you want a quick dessert without turning on the oven.

Ingredients

Fresh Cream (250 ml):
I used fresh cream with about 25% milk fat, which worked perfectly for this recipe. With a little blender magic, the cream thickened beautifully and reached a rich, creamy consistency. This makes it ideal for a no-bake dessert like this strawberry mousse.

You can also use whipping cream if you want a lighter and fluffier mousse texture. However, I felt that fresh cream worked great for this recipe and gave a lovely rich flavor that I really enjoyed in this dessert.

Strawberry Jam (3 tbsp):
I used 3 tablespoons of homemade strawberry jam, but you can easily adjust the quantity based on how strong you want the strawberry flavor to be. If you like a more intense fruity taste, feel free to add a little more.

Sugar (1–2 tbsp):
The amount of sugar depends entirely on your taste preference. Since the strawberry jam is already sweet, start with 1 tablespoon and taste before adding more. You can increase it if you prefer a sweeter mousse.

Strawberry Slices:
Fresh strawberries are sliced thin and used to add texture and freshness to the mousse. Thin slices blend in easily and also look beautiful when layered or used as a garnish.

How to make this Strawberry Mousse?

Start by making sure the fresh cream has been refrigerated overnight so it is well chilled. Pour the cold cream into a blender and blend it using short 2–3 second pulses. After about 5–7 pulses, the cream will become thick and creamy. Be careful not to overblend. At this stage, do not add sugar yet, as adding sugar too early can prevent the cream from thickening properly.

Once the cream has thickened, add the strawberry jam according to your taste. I used about 2–3 tablespoons. Blend it for just one quick pulse so the jam mixes evenly into the cream.

Next, add powdered sugar according to your sweetness preference. Instead of blending, gently fold the sugar into the mixture using a spoon. This helps keep the mousse light and creamy without making it runny.

Now your strawberry mousse cream is ready. To assemble, spoon a little strawberry jam into the bottom of a serving cup or glass. Add a layer of the strawberry mousse on top, then finish with fresh strawberry slices.

Refrigerate the mousse for at least 6 to 12 hours before serving. Once chilled, it is ready to enjoy as a cold, creamy, no-bake dessert.

🫙 Storage & Shelf Life

This strawberry mousse should always be stored in the refrigerator. Once prepared and assembled in serving cups, cover them with cling wrap or a lid and keep them chilled.

The mousse stays fresh for about 2 to 3 days when stored properly in the fridge.

Since this dessert is made with fresh cream, it is best enjoyed within a couple of days for the best taste and texture.

Freezing is not recommended because the texture can change once thawed.

💡 Tips for Perfect Strawberry Mousse

Make sure the fresh cream is well chilled before blending, as cold cream thickens better.

Always blend the cream in short pulses instead of continuous blending to avoid over-processing it.

Do not add sugar while thickening the cream, as this can prevent it from reaching a creamy consistency.

Add the strawberry jam only after the cream has thickened and blend it for just one quick pulse.

When adding sugar, always fold it in gently using a spoon instead of blending, so the mousse remains light and creamy. Chilling the mousse before serving helps it set and taste even better

🍓 Texture & Taste

This strawberry mousse has a smooth, creamy texture with a light and airy feel.

It is fruity, refreshing, and not too heavy, making it perfect as a summer dessert or a light after-meal treat.

The strawberry jam adds natural sweetness and flavor, while the fresh strawberry slices give a fresh bite in every spoonful.

🍨 Variations

You can easily customize this mousse based on your taste and ingredients. You can use mango jam or blueberry jam instead of strawberry for a different flavor.

A little vanilla extract can be added for extra aroma. For more texture, you can add a crushed biscuit or cookie base at the bottom of the cup before layering the mousse.

You can also top it with chocolate shavings, chopped nuts, or extra fruit slices for decoration and added flavor.

If you prefer a lighter and fluffier mousse, you can use whipping cream instead of fresh cream.

❤️ Why This Is a Great Dessert

This strawberry mousse is a great dessert because it is completely no-bake and very easy to make.

It requires only a few basic ingredients and does not need an oven or complicated steps.

It is beginner-friendly and perfect for quick desserts, family gatherings, or special occasions. Since it uses strawberry jam and fresh cream, it comes together quickly while still tasting rich and homemade
