Pizza ovens are usually made and installed permanently in or out of your house. The Igneus Pizza Ovens, however, can be an answer to that since you can move them wherever you want.
Igneus has produced ovens that are portable and can reach temperatures that can cook different recipes in no time.
They have amazing designs that can mimic the power of a wood-fired brick oven to produce Neapolitan-style pizzas and the great thing is they made three of varying sizes.
It goes from the Igneus Minimo which is the most portable of the three, then the Igneus Bambino, and the largest which is the Igneus Classico.
If you are looking for an oven that you can transport, cook amazing pizzas with, and give that authentic taste, then Igneus can provide you all those with these three amazing ovens.
All three pizzas are able to cook pizzas in under a minute and they can definitely cook some variety of foods so if you get tired of pizzas, you can cook other recipes in them.
Igneus offers value for money and you can choose between three to see which one gives the best performance for you but surely, none of them will disappoint.
This post will provide everything that you need to know about the three so read on and see what amazing features these three are packed with.
Igneus Minimo
One of the most appealing features of this oven is it is very lightweight. It only weighs 15 kilograms so bringing it out of your house is no trouble at all.
If you want to transport this oven in longer distances by hand, then you can separate the firebricks that come with it and carry it with no hassle.
Since it is lightweight, it is safe to assume that there is a small space for cooking. However, it does measure at 30 by 40 centimeters so you can definitely cook 12 inches of pizza.
This also means that you can fit a small tin cooking pan in the oven and cook other foods such as bread, pasta, meat, and more.
It has a chimney that can be installed when it comes out of the package.
It also has firebricks that you can use and can retain heat for a long time.
You can use 6-inch wood to fuel this oven and it will go up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit or 500 degrees celsius.
Because of the heat-retaining capabilities of this pizza oven, you can cook pizza and other foods in it while the door is opened.
The heat will remain inside with the help of an amazing interior airflow guided by the chimney.
It can cook pizzas within 80 seconds so you can be sure to cook a lot with just one go.
It does have a door to keep the heat inside especially when you are preheating the oven which usually takes no more than 15 minutes.
Since the fire goes up and radiates the heat to the bottom, the doorway of the Igneus Minimo is built with a dropping opening so the fire won’t escape through the front and get in front of your face when you are working with it.
Made with stainless steel 316, the Igneus Minimo is heat and rain-resistant so you can definitely bring it outdoors. It also has a coated aluminum finish which adds to the elegance of the oven.
It comes in matte black color so it can fit with almost any modern patio that you have. The color definitely benefits when woot comes out of the oven as it can be hardly noticed.
The Igneus Minimo has its own cooking stone and a built-in tabletop stand so you can place it on even surfaces that can support its weight.
The firebrick or refractory brick inside the oven helps a lot in retaining heat. It heats up quickly with the oven and retains the heat so the oven does not lose too much when the door is open.
You can remove the firebrick out of the oven after every use and clean off the remaining ashes to keep its retaining capability. Make sure not to use water or else it will crack on the next use.
Always use untreated wood fuel in order to attain the best quality in pizza cooking. This way, you can get to 500 degrees Celsius and have that amazing smoky-taste on your pizza.
Cooking a pizza in the Igneus oven usually takes a little over a minute. However, if you keep the door on, the pizza will be cooked perfectly in just 60 seconds.
Cooking thicker pizzas in it will also cause a little bit more time. You also need to look after the pizza to prevent it from burning from the powerful heat inside the oven.
Pros
1. The Igneus Minimo can be transported easily to wherever you want with ease.
2. The stand allows you to put the oven on any heat-proof surface without having to worry about damages on both the oven and the surface that it is placed on.
Cons
1. It can only cook small pizzas so you need to make more if you have many stomachs to feed.
2. It comes in one color only.
3. No accessories such as covers to protect it and carry it when traveling.
Igneus Bambino
If you have a slightly larger number of people that you need to feed, then the Igneus Bambino is the perfect pizza oven for you.
The Igneus Bambino weighs at 35 kilograms with all the components inside it. When you remove the firebricks at the base, it goes half of its weight at 17 kilograms.
Slightly heavier than the Igneus Minimo but it can still be used and transported with ease. The best way to do so is with the help of another person to carry it.
You can cook pizzas that measure at least 14 inches with its 500 millimeters by 500 millimeters cooking space. It can also hold baking trays and other cookware.
The chimney of the Igneus Bambino is also detachable plus you can fit it inside the oven for portability especially when you are moving the oven.
It has a cover to protect the oven and can be used when carrying it. It is built with the same 316 stainless steel and powder-coated aluminum to keep it from damage from natural elements.
It does not have a stand so it sits directly on top of tabletops so make sure that you put in on a surface that can resist high amounts of heat.
However, the Igneus Bambino is fully insulated even at the bottom so it will not make too much damage on the surfaces that it is on but put it on top of a heat-resistant surface just to be sure.
Although you can use it indoors, it is still best to keep on using it outdoors because it is very powerful and if you are not cautious, it might burn some equipment or melt plastic objects around it.
Since it can get up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, it emits a lot of power and heat so you need huge ventilation and a tall ceiling to use it indoors.
Plus, it uses wood or kiln logs as fuel, the smoke it emits is quite thick so you will need to keep it outdoors.
It can reach the maximum temperature in less than 20 minutes so it gives you time to prepare the food that you need to cook.
It is very efficient and uses a few logs to keep the fire burning inside the oven. Refueling is easy and not necessarily needed all the time.
Putting two logs will last you around 20 to 30 minutes of cooking. You can also track the temperature of the oven since it includes a built-in thermometer found at the front of the oven.
Cooking in this oven will only take you around 60 seconds to 80 seconds for a regular 14-inch pizza.
If you added thicker toppings such as meat, it is best to cook them halfway first in a pan before putting it on your pizza and into the oven so that it cooks along with the other ingredients.
You can speed up the cooking process by covering the oven although it will require you to keep an eye on the pizza so it does not burn in case it comes to direct contact with the raging fire inside the oven.
You can also choose between three customizable colors so that the Igneus Bambino can fit whatever the occasion or its background may be.
Pros
1. It can cook large pizzas compared to the Igneus Minimo
2. You have three colors to choose from
3. Despite its larger size, the Igneus Bambino is still considered as a portable pizza oven.
4. It does have a cover that further protects it from outdoor elements.
Cons
1. The firebricks are really heavy for transportation.
2. It does not have a stand so it can potentially damage tabletops that are not good with heat. So make sure you have a good quality stand or a nice place that could withstand this heat.
Igneus Classico
When it comes to the design, not much has changed form the two previous pizza ovens. The Igneus Classico has an amazing color scheme that you can choose from, however.
It has a tall detachable chimney that also has an adjustable airflow so you can control the heat inside the oven with just a twist of a valve.
It is the largest among the three but still, it is a relatively small pizza oven that can fit in tight spaces and small tabletops.
You might find it hard to move this pizza oven around with its 45-kilogram weight in full size and accessories while weighing 20 kilograms without the firebricks.
It has a large cooking area of 600 millimeters by 600 millimeters and can fit two 12-inch pizzas or two roasting tins inside it for more efficient cooking.
The pizza oven comes in with 6 different colors that you can choose from and is made out of the same 316 stainless steel material with a powder-coated aluminum finish.
It can easily cook your pizza in no time and you might be wondering how long it takes to heat up this large size of an oven.
Well, surprisingly, it can reach 500 degrees Celsius in just 15 minutes and can cook pizzas in just 60 seconds or even less.
It uses the same fuel as the first two ovens and its performance with wood is very impressive. The insulation is also great and prevents as much heat to build upon the outside and keeps the heat inside.
With a large capacity, you can cook large pizzas or multiple recipes at a time which makes this pizza oven perfect for hosting large parties with family and friends.
The Igneus Classico is very easy to use with the oven alone. However, accessories make it even easier so it is totally recommended.
The same as the Igneus Bambino, this pizza oven comes with different accessories that you can use like the pizza peel which is perfect for placing the pizza in the oven as well as moving it.
The opening of the oven has a door that can be used to make the pizza go hotter. It has small airways underneath that allow airflow to continuously heat up the interior while keeping the heat from escaping.
It also has a built-in thermometer at the front so you can see the accurate temperature of the oven inside and know when the Igneus Classico is ready for cooking.
Pros
1. Since it has a lot of colorways to choose from, you can fit the Igneus Classico in any aesthetic that you want.
2. It has a large cooking area that does not limit its cooking capacity.
3. It does not have a stand installed directly but if you choose to, you can install an available stand in the oven.
Cons
1. It is very heavy so you will have a hard time moving this pizza from one place to another.
2. If you do not have the stand, then you will need a heat-proof tabletop.
As you can see, there aren’t a lot of cons with the pizza ovens from Igneus. So make sure to check them out and see which one fits your patio.
