Crazy Crust Pizza Recipe

The crust is the most important part of the pizza as it holds all the ingredients together.

There is a standard way to do it, but you can make it unique and crispy with this crazy crust pizza recipe.

Pizza dough has a slightly sticky consistency, but you do not usually make it runny.

That is the main thing about this pizza is that it has liquid dough.

The best thing about this is that you can always ensure that the pizza crust has the right consistency.

That way, it becomes crispy on all sides and does not make other parts soggy.

The main challenge I usually face with this recipe is the crust’s crispiness when making it along with the other pizza toppings and ingredients. You need to allow the moisture to escape.

When the crust has heavy and loaded with toppings, you will have a soggy crust that is gummy instead of it being chewy. That is why it is important to have the right consistency.

With this recipe, I will teach and guide you to make the perfect crust for this amazing pizza.

Follow the recipe and make sure that you have everything ready for cooking.

Crazy Crust Pizza

 Ingredients

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper

Crazy Crust Pizza Recipe

  • Half pound of pork sausage
  • 1 cup of pepperoni slices
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 and a half cups of pizza sauce

Step 1: Preheat The Oven

This process does not need the dough to be risen before using it.

You can cook it right after mixing it so it is better to prepare the oven first to cook the dough right away.

Set the temperature of the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit and then let it preheat for 15 minutes.

Lightly grease a pan for the dough later but do not put it in the oven just yet.

Step 2: Mix The Dough

Get a large bowl and then mix the flour, salt, black pepper, and oregano.

I prefer using a rubber spatula for mixing or a whisk rather than a machine to see and control the mixing.

Once the dry ingredients mix well, lightly beat the eggs before adding them to the mixing bowl.

Add the milk and then whisk the mixture together until the dough has even consistency.

Make sure that the pan has the dough, or rather, the batter spread evenly throughout.

This ensures that the crust does not have too thin or too thick parts to cook it evenly.

Step 3: Arrange The Toppings

Cook the pork sausages first and make sure that they do not overcook.

Just a light-brown color on the pork will do, and also make sure that you crumble them by removing the skin of the sausage.

Cook them over medium heat on the stovetop and then place them on the batter.

Put the pepperoni slices on top and distribute them evenly throughout the batter.

Place the pan inside the oven with the pizza batter and toppings once the oven has reached the desired temperature.

Step 4: Initial Cooking

Place the pan on the middle rack of the oven and then let it cook for 20 to 25 minutes.

This will create the perfect crust as it will become crispy and the meat toppings start to cook as well.

Once the crust has become golden brown and crispy, remove the pan from the oven and put it on the counter.

Do not let the oven cold down by leaving it open for a long time.

Make sure that you close the oven door right after taking out the pizza from the oven.

You will still need the same heat you used to cook the pizza further along with the softer toppings.

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the pizza and then drizzle the pizza sauce over it.

Make sure to spread it with a spoon to evenly distribute the sauce on top of the pizza.

Step 5: Cook Again

Place the pizza right back into the oven to cook it further.

This will not take a long time, so you do not have to leave the oven as it might burn the other ingredients cooked during the initial process.

Once the cheese is bubbling and the crust has turned a little bit darker, remove it from the oven and then let it rest.

This will only take around 10 minutes, so make sure to not leave it unattended.

Let the pizza rest for a little bit, about 5 minutes, and then serve it while it is still warm.

You will have a crispy crust that is slightly sweet but truly fluffy and enjoyable along with the toppings.

Conclusion

This recipe gives your pizza a new taste with a new way of making the crust as well.

You will not need to tire yourself out by kneading the dough for minutes before it is activated.

This process will give your pizza a crispy crust despite not having to let the dough rise.

While it is unique, the flavor of the pizza is more familiar than you think, and it is hard to differentiate.

So if you do not want to wait for too long for your pizza dough to be ready, you can do this recipe and make the best pizza with your family and friends at home.

Make sure to cook the toppings that you have beforehand, especially if you are using meat.

That way, you will not have raw toppings while the crust of the pizza is done.

You can also be creative and use other toppings on the pizza. I love mixing up toppings as I put half mushrooms, olives, and vegetables on one side while I use meat toppings on the other.
