If you are in the mood to make the best classic Italian Pizza Dough Recipe then gather all the above ingredients and follow this recipe.
Ingredients
750g All Purpose Flour/ Caputo Tipo 00 Flour
1.5 tbsp Instant Yeast/ Fresh Yeast(double the quantity of instant yeast)
Water(Room Temperature)
Olive Oil
Step 1
Take the Flour in a Bowl and dissolve instant yeast(or fresh yeast) in a little lukewarm water in another smaller bowl.
Add salt as per your taste to the flour.
Now add the yeast solution to the flour and take some water in another bowl and start kneading the dough.
Step 2
Make sure that you add little water every time and knead the dough. Don’t add all the water at once, as this will not hydrate all the dough well.
Also, if you live in colder climates, you can use lukewarm water.
Make sure that the water is not hot but Lukewarm and you are able to work with the dough while pouring the water.
Too hot water can kill the yeast which is not what we want.
Do it slowly and keep kneading till you have a nice soft ball of dough.
Step 3
Once you have made a ball of dough, you need to apply some olive oil to it so it doesn’t stick to your hands and knead it well for a few minutes.
Now, keep the dough in a bowl and cover it with a wet cloth and let it rise for about an hour.
You are covering it with a wet cloth so that the dough does not form a crust on top.
Step 4
Now, divide the dough into small dough balls and let them rest for a while or you can use them immediately to make your pizza.
Tap the tough and stretch it using your fingers and spread your pizza sauce on top of it and your favorite toppings and throw it in your pizza oven.
Make sure to use enough flour while you stretch the pizza dough, else it would stick to the cooking surface or even your fingers.
Within 10-15 minutes your pizza would be ready!
