Reheating Pizza is an art and there are so many different ways to do it, but the right way has to be the one where you can get the perfect crispy base along with some nicely cooked toppings.
On this blog, I have written post on different ways that you can reheat a pizza and in this post, I would compare each of these methods with each other and even let you all know the one that I use the most.
I guess it is pretty easy to know which one it is because most of the people I know prefer to reheat pizza in the same way.
So, if you are interested in knowing about all the different ways in which you can reheat a pizza then keep reading this post where would consider all the different ways in which you can do so and the pros and cons of each way.
1. Reheating a Pizza using a Pizza Stone
A pizza stone is probably one of the easiest ways to reheat a pizza slice. If you want to get the best crispy base along with some nicely cooked toppings then you might choose this method.
Even though reheating your pizza on a pizza stone is one of the best ways, you are going to realize that it is a tedious task since you have to switch on the pizza oven and warm it up before you can get started with the reheating process.
I mean you might as well cook some freshly made pizza.
But the since the whole point is reheating your pizza slices, so you can do that as well but igniting your pizza oven just for reheating a few slices might be something not everyone is interested in doing.
If you think you have enough time to start your pizza oven just to reheat a few slices of pizza then you can definitely go ahead and do it as the results are going to be amazing.
2. Reheating in a Microwave Oven
This is probably my least favorite way of reheating a pizza. If you have ever reheated your pizza inside a microwave then you would know what we are talking about.
The pizza slice comes out soggy and almost inedible once you reheat it inside a microwave.
The best way to avoid this from happening is by placing a cup of water while you are heating your pizza slice.
The results this way are so much better than just tossing the pizza slice inside the oven. Some people even keep the slice on a wet tissue in order to make the base crispier.
The tissue soaks the moisture from the base. You can try this as well but usually, I prefer reheating my pizza in the method that we would discuss next.
If you still want to reheat your pizza using your microwave then you might want to read this post where we explain the detail in the process.
3. Reheating pizza in a pan
Using this method you are going to have the best-reheated pizza ever. Out of all the ways that you can reheat a pizza, this is by far the best way you can do it.
All you need to do is get the pizza slices at room temperature if you have frozen them.
Once they attain room temperature, you would then need to place the slice on a pan which is on medium flame.
Keep the pizza slice on the pan for about 1-2 minutes and once you have heated up the slice for a while, add a few drops of water on the pan and cover the lid so that the steam can help heat up the entire slice.
This way of reheating a pizza slice is probably the best, as the slice tastes as good as a freshly cooked pizza. Well, not exactly the same but yes, pretty close.
You want to reheat your pizza this way and in case you want a detailed step by step instructions on how you would go about this then I would suggest that you do take a look at this post on how to reheat pizza on a pan.
4. How to Reheat Pizza with a Toaster Oven
Well, this is the last and the final method that we have tried which is heating a pizza slice inside a toaster oven. It is easy to reheat your pizza slice inside the oven as you just need to crank up the temperature and cook the slice for a few minutes.
It is very similar to reheating a pizza slice inside the microwave oven, just that it is relatively better.
You need to just preheat the oven and insert the pizza slice inside and after a few minutes, you can have your heated slice of pizza.
Overall, I think it is pretty amazing that you get really nice results with the toaster oven and honestly the results are better than what you get while you are using a microwave oven.
It is safe to say that the microwave method has to be my least favorite among all but you can work around with it and get somewhere when it comes to reheating a pizza slice.
Reheating a pizza slice on a pan is probably one of the best ways you have when it comes to heating a pizza slice. The pizza tastes almost the same as it was when you had made it or bought it.
Overall, I was in love with how beautifully it worked, and this way, you can store your leftover pizzas, and you do not need to jam them all inside your mouth at once.
I had this habit of eating more slices to finish the pizza, and we all know how bad that can be for your health especially if you are someone who is trying to watch your weight.
So, this way, I do not guilty eat all my pizza at once and store them in the fridge for later on. Imagine how many calories you can avoid consuming this way.
This hack is the best as I do not have to eat that soggy pizza from the microwave which, to be honest, ruins the taste of the pizza.
I’m someone who does not like to eat cold slices of pizza as well, so, if you are in the same group, then you would find these methods of reheating frozen pizzas a lifesaver.
Do try out these techniques and let me know your favorite!
If you guys have something to add on, then do let me know so that I could try it as well.
