Cuisine American
- 4 Medium Size Onions
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Water(as much as needed)
Use a large pan to caramelize the onions for even cooking. A bigger pan ensures the onions cook faster and evenly.
Set the heat to low, add onions, and stir occasionally. If they start to dry out, add 5-6 tablespoons of water. Stir every few minutes and cook for about 40 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
Once golden, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar and your preferred seasonings. Stir well, increase heat to high, and cook for 3-4 more minutes to evaporate any excess moisture. Turn off heat once caramelized, and your onions are ready to use!
