Equipment

  • 1 Large Cooking Pan

Ingredients

  • 4 Medium Size Onions
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Water(as much as needed)

Instructions

  • Use a large pan to caramelize the onions for even cooking. A bigger pan ensures the onions cook faster and evenly.
  • Set the heat to low, add onions, and stir occasionally. If they start to dry out, add 5-6 tablespoons of water. Stir every few minutes and cook for about 40 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
  • Once golden, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar and your preferred seasonings. Stir well, increase heat to high, and cook for 3-4 more minutes to evaporate any excess moisture. Turn off heat once caramelized, and your onions are ready to use!
