Reheating a pizza on a pan is probably one of the best ways that you can reheat a pizza and in this post, we would explain the reason.
Imagine, you have some leftover pizza from your last meal, and you thought you would have it the next day and popped a few slices inside the fridge.
Now, the next day, it does get a little confusing on how you could reheat the pizza so that it remains soft on the top with crisp toppings.
Along with that, you are also looking for a crisp base, which is quite tricky to get in a microwave oven. Most of the times you end up with a soft pizza where the base tastes like bread when reheated in a microwave.
There is another trick to reheat pizza inside a microwave so that it is not as soft as one would expect inside the oven. Do read our post on how to reheat a pizza inside a microwave for a step by step guide on that.
Coming back to how you can reheat pizza on a pan, well, it is swift and easy-
Steps to be followed-
1. I usually do not keep my pizza slices in the freezer. If you do, then defrost your pizza slices for an hour or so before you can reheat those slices.
I keep them in the fridge as I finish eating the leftovers within a day. If you tend to store the slices for longer, then I would highly recommend that you store them in the freezer.
2. Now once the slices are at room temperature, place your pan on the stove at medium flame. After the pan is moderately hot, place the slices on hte pan and let it sit there for about 2 minutes.
You can keep it for longer if you want a more crisp base, but make sure you initially start with a low-moderate flame so that the slice is heated evenly.
3. Now, once you think you have gotten the base to your liking, all you need to do is place a few drops of water on the sides of the slice and cover up the pizza so that it can cook with the steam.
This method ensures that the cheese regains its moisture and the toppings are not chewy and dry.
4. Once you have cooked the pizza this way for about a minute or two, then take out your slice, and it is ready to eat.
You can crank up the heat towards the end if you want a crisp base as well. So this method gives you a lot of flexibility on choosing how crisp you would like your base.
I would even attach a video where you can see this process in action so that you do not have any more questions or doubts on how it is done-
Overall, I was in love with how beautifully this trick worked, and this way, you can store your leftover pizzas, and you do not need to jam them all inside your mouth at once.
I had this habit of eating more slices to finish the pizza, and we all know how bad that can be for your health especially if you are someone who is trying to have some control over your weight.
So, this way, I do not guilty eat all my pizza at once and store them in the fridge for later on. Imagine how many calories you can avoid consuming this way.
This hack is the best as I do not have to eat that soggy pizza from the microwave which, to be honest, ruins the taste of the pizza.
I’m someone who does not like to eat cold slices of pizza as well, so, if you are in the same group, then you would find this method of reheating frozen pizzas a lifesaver.
