You cannot attain this by simply putting the pizza on a grill or a stove and waiting for it to cook.

Making pizza at home is also helpful since you can make it as healthy as you want.

You can select the ingredients that you want to put in your pizza to make it unique.

Having the option to select the ingredients is a great way to make the pizza better.

You also avoid the hassle of ordering all the time.

You can cook yourself, add whatever toppings you like, and put as many as you want on the pizza.

Building Material And Quality

The Pizzacraft rectangular pizza stone consists of cordierite; this type of stone or earthly material is one of the best ones you can get when you want to buy any stoneware for cooking.

For years, people have thought that clay is the best option for making cookware out of earthly materials.

Then, that progressed to ceramics as they are more durable and long-lasting.

We also thought that ceramics was the best that we could get.

However, cordierite is truly a revolutionary material as it is one of the most durable materials for any stoneware.

That is why it is now preferred over ceramics, as it can withstand more extreme temperatures.

It has a higher breaking point than ceramics, making it great for cooking pizzas at high heat.

All of the above can be done by cordierite all while also being able to maintain the heat.

It is one of the best conductors of heat and is also great in distributing the heat that it has collected inside; this helps that oven or any appliance that you cook pizza on in making the heat more evenly.

That way, the pizza will cook quickly with the toppings perfectly finished along with the crust.

Available Sizes

Pizzacraft is a considerate company and has produced their rectangular cordierite pizza stone in many sizes.

That way, you can select which one fits in your oven or any cooking appliance.

There is a large pizza stone that measures 20 inches in length.

This pizza stone is perfect for parties or for when you are cooking pizzas for many people as it is a huge pizza stone.

If your oven is slightly smaller and the 20-inch pizza stone cannot fit into the oven, you can get the smaller 15 by 12-inch pizza stone; this is the perfect size for cooking pizza for the family.

Heat Conduction

For a pizza stone to be able to absorb heat, it should have the proper thickness.

The thicker the pizza stone, the more heat and evenly it can distribute the heat inside.

However, the thicker the pizza stone, the longer it will also take to heat up.

That is why you need a pizza stone on the right median of the measurement to get enough heat in the oven.

The Pizzacraft rectangular pizza stone is about half of an inch thick.

This kind of pizza stone is thick enough to absorb a lot of heat, and it also does not take long before it gathers enough.

From there, the thickness of the pizza stone will then get fully heated and ready for cooking.

It can distribute the heat in the entire oven to make the temperature as even as possible.

While distributing the heat inside the oven, the pizza stone hardly loses heat itself.

That means that it can still cook properly while also helping in creating the proper environment for pizzas.

Seasoning

Pizza stones need to be seasoned to get them to the right temperature and condition to cook pizzas.

That includes preheating it or oiling it before you use or put the pizza on it.

However, Pizzacraft is known for its all-in-one products, and that includes the services needed.

The rectangular pizza stone from Pizzacraft is already seasoned, so there is no need for that.

You can let it out of the package and then preheat it.

Once it gets to the right temperature, you can immediately put your pizza on it as there is no need for you to wait for hours before using it.

Once it is seasoned, you can also use it for heating other foods as they will hardly stick to it.

Foods such as vegetables, baked goods, and even frozen ones are good for this.

However, it would be best if you were careful when it comes to frozen food.

Be sure to thaw the food first and then distribute evenly on the pizza stone to avoid cracking due to thermal shock.

Performance

I cannot cook pizzas on just parchment or cookie paper.

That is why I always have pizza steel or a pizza stone ready for cooking both pizzas and other baked goods.

The Pizzacraft rectangular cordierite pizza stone is one of the most impressive pizza stones that I have ever used. The pizzas I cooked on it always came out with a crispy crust and cooked toppings.

Despite it being relatively thick compared to most pizza stones, the Pizzacraft pizza stone could heat up to the desired temperature in just 30 minutes or sometimes even less.

From there, I was able to produce the best pizzas in and out of the oven in no time.

The cheese melted to perfection, and it even had a little browning on top due to the immense amount of heat.

I also loved that the pizza stone came with a wire handle rack.

This simple accessory made it easy and safe for me to transport the heavy and hot pizza stone in and out of the oven.

I would recommend preheating this pizza stone at a temperature of 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

That way, you will get to see the non-stick feature of the pizza stone.

Cleaning The Pizza Stone

Just like other pizza stones, you should never wash this pizza stone with water.

This is to maintain the cordierite stone’s integrity and avoid cracking or breaking even worse.

All you need to do is heat the pizza stone even more and then scrape off the residuals on the surface.

From there, you can then place it again in the oven or the storage area.

However, if you want to wash it with water, there is only one way to do it.

You have to trust the ThermaBond technology and let it cool down before washing it with hot water while brushing.

After that, you can let it dry before placing it inside the oven again for the next use.

As much as possible, I encourage you to avoid washing the pizza stone with water.

You do not have to worry about the color of the pizza stone changing, as it is a good sign of a well-seasoned pizza stone. So let it go brown or darker without washing with water.
