This is probably the best way to reheat a pizza slice. Reheating on a pizza stone is going to give you the best results given that you already have a pizza oven.
The pizza stone is probably one of the best ways that you can reheat your cold pizza slices. I mean if you have an oven, you can easily cook fresh pizzas but if you want to reheat the old ones then that is one interesting ride.
The best part about reheating pizza slices on a pizza stone is that you get a nice crispy base, which is really difficult to achieve especially if you are trying to reheat some cold pizza slices.
You can reheat a slice on the pan as well and that is the fastest way to reheat a pizza but if you just want to get the pizza slice as good as new then you can put in a little effort and go with reheating the pizza slice on a pizza stone.
There is no rocket science on how you should do this, all we can say is this way you are going to save a lot of time in reheating your pizza slice and getting it back to how it tastes originally.
Steps to be followed-
At this point, the steps might seem very trivial and to be honest they are because if you are using a pizza stone inside a pizza oven, then you are going to get a perfectly reheated pizza slice which would be better than the ones that you get inside a microwave.
1. Defrost the pizza slices. I usually do not keep my pizza slices in the freezer. If you do, then defrost your pizza slices for an hour or so before you can reheat those slices.
I keep them in the fridge as I finish eating the leftovers within a day. If you tend to store the slices for longer, then I would highly recommend that you store them in the freezer.
2. Once the pizza slices have reached room temperature, you can keep the slices on the pizza stone, make sure you have a hot pizza stone ready in order to reheat the pizza slice.
3. Your pizza slice would be reheated within a few seconds and this way you can get your perfect reheated pizza.
TIP: For someone who doesn’t already know the temperature at which you should bake the pizza inside the oven- try going for the highest temperature setting.
If you have been cooking pizza for a while then you would know that the highest temperature setting is the one to go for and how long you need to keep your pizza?
Well, it again depends on the thickness of the crust. Mostly mine is done within 5 minutes but if yours takes more time then that’s fine too. Just keep an eye on the pizza.
What I’m trying to imply here is that there is no fixed temperature and time, you need to figure out what works best with your oven.
I could just share some figures based on my experience but in the end, if you just keep an eye on the pizza while it is cooking, you would know when it is ready.
Although the method mentioned above gives you a nice reheated slice of pizza that tastes almost as good as a fresh slice of pizza, you might want to consider the fact that it is cumbersome to switch on a pizza oven just to reheat a pizza.
Sometimes, it does take the pizza oven a few minutes to just get to the desired temperature and in that case, it can be more of an inconvenience to reheat pizza on a pizza stone.
Even though this way you get a nicely cooked, crispy pizza slice, you might want to just take out your pan and reheat the slice as it is way faster and much easier.
I had this habit of eating more slices to finish the pizza, and we all know how bad that can be for your health especially if you are someone who is trying to have some control over your weight.
So by freezing the leftover pizza slices, I do not guilty eat all my pizza at once and. Imagine how many calories you can avoid consuming pizza in moderation.
This hack is the best as I do not have to eat that soggy pizza from the microwave which, to be honest, ruins the taste of the pizza.
I’m someone who does not like to eat cold slices of pizza and if you are in the same group, then you would find this method of reheating frozen amazing.
