Recipe of this Easy Vegan Veggie Pizza Recipe
1. First get started with making the pizza base. I have a very simple recipe for this, I take a bowl of flour, add a tbsp of activated yeast, salt, and oil.
I knead this mixture till it because a round dough ball and then cover it and leave it for about 30 minutes to proof.
After this, I ย go back to the dough ball and knead it a bit more so that I get a nice texture in the crust which is similar to that of dominos pan pizza.
Once I’m done kneading it for about 5-7 minutes, the dough is ready.
You can even go with store-bought pizza dough and I have some recommendations on the good ones that you get online.
Although I do recommend that you make it this way at least once since it is super easy and takes very little time to get ready.
2. Now I take a dough ball and flatten it out on a pizza pan. I usually use pizza steel but you can use any pan that works well for you or a pan that you have at home.
3. Next, you need to put some pizza sauce or your homemade marinara sauce over the pizza dough. I usually use pizza sauce since I do not see the point of making the homemade sauce just for one pizza.
I even have some good pizza sauce recommendations, so you can get those online in case you plan on making pizzas yourself.
If I have some leftover homemade sauce, then I definitely choose that over the store-bought one but as far as my experience goes, either sauces taste good in this recipe.
4. Now add some onions, mushrooms, olives, jalapenos, corn, and capsicum as toppings, and then spread some vegan mozzarella cheese.
You can add some paprika, salt, and pepper mixture on top of the toppings before the cheese in case you need that added kick to the pizza.
I usually do add some of it, since it makes my pizza, nice and spicy.
The combination of all these vegetables gives a nice crunch and fresh taste to the pizza, making this pizza one of my favorites.
The sweetness from the corn is balanced with the saltiness of the olives and the tangy flavor of the jalapenos.
These vegetables form the perfect balance making this recipe delicious and I’m pretty sure you are going to get addicted to this!
Important Notes-
Since you are adding mushrooms as the toppings, you have to cook the pizza at high heat. This ensures that the mushroom does not release any water making the pizza soggy.
The same goes with other vegetables that you are cooking on top of the pizza.
In case you are not cooking this on a high temp pizza oven, you can saute the veggies before placing them on the pizza getting rid of excess water content.
Mostly this should not happen but in case that it does, please try the above hack.
While you saute the vegetables make sure that you do not add any seasoning and just cook it in a little bit of oil on a high flame to get rid of all the water content in vegetables like capsicum and mushrooms.
Do make this pizza and you would not regret going vegan anymore!
It is totally delicious and tastes amazing!
